Rimini completed a sweep of a two-game series against Novara with a 7-0 shutout on Friday evening in the Italian Baseball League. The Pirates took a 1-0 lead in the second when Ramon Castro stole home. They added to the advantage with six runs in the last three innings en route to the victory. Roberto Corradini, Sandy Patrone and Carlos Pezzullo kept Novara to two hits and a walk in nine scoreless innings. Mario Di Taddeo took the loss, conceding two hits, a run and six bb in five innings. Mario Chiarini drove in two. Leonardo Zileri scored twice.
