The Italian Baseball League continued with a couple of games on Friday evening. Unipol Bologna scored six runs in the third en route to an 8-4 victory over the Godo Knights. Nicholas Nosti and Alessandro Vaglio had two RBI apiece. Juan Carlos Infante collected three hits and two runs. Federico Rubboli drove in two for Godo. Nick Pugliese earned the win with two scoreless innings of relief. Raul Rivero and Roger Luque also pitched for Fortitudo. Daniele Del Bianco took the loss for the Knights.
Parma also used a big third inning to celebrate a win. They defeated Palfinger Reggio Emilia 6-2 behind a four-run rally in the third. Stefano Desimoni broke the scoreless tie with a sac fly. Alex Sambucci followed with a three-run home run two batters later. Luca Scalera had three hits. Jose Sanchez struck out nine in seven solid innings for the win. Filippo Bertolini issued nine hits, five runs (1 ER) and three bb in seven frames to take the loss.
