The interleague round in the German Baseball-Bundesliga is in the books. After four game days of contests between the top four teams from the north and the south the Heidenheim Heidekoepfe are entering the elimination series in September in first seed. The Munich-Haar Disciples, which stunned the Bonn Capitals with a sweep on Saturday, moved into second place. The Mainz Athletics prevailed over the Dohren Wild Farmers to clinch fourth place in the standings.
In the quarterfinals the Heidekoepfe will take on the Mannheim Tornados, the Disciples host the Untouchables Paderborn, Bonn faces the Solingen Alligators and Mainz squares up once again against the Wild Farmers. Games one and two will be played next weekend.
