Posted on July 31, 2015 by philipp

The Italian Baseball League semi-final round robin started into its third week on Thursday evening. Unipol Bologna shut out ASD Rimini 1-0 for their sixth win in seven games. Cesar Suarez drove in the lone run with a single in the third. Marquis Fleming and Rafael Cova tossed nine scoreless innings even though they allowed seven hits and four walks. Alexis Candelario got charged with the loss.

In the second game on Thursday Tommasin Padua entered the win column with an 8-6 victory over T&A San Marino in 15 innings. The game lasted four hours and 40 minutes, ending well after midnight. After Padua scored in the top of the ninth to tie the game and to force extra innings, both teams scored twice in the 12th before Padua’s two runs through Erick Epifano’s single in the 15th decided the outcome.
