IBL Playoffs: T&A San Marino, Danesi Nettuno reach Italian Series

Unipol Bologna beat T&A San Marino 10-6 on Saturday night to conclude the semi-final round robin, but still missed out on another trip to the Italian Series. San Marino will go after already clinching first place on Friday. Edgar Clemente led Bologna, going 3-for-5 with a homerun and five RBI. Julio Ramirez scored three times. Laidel Chapelli and Mattia Reginato combined for four RBI for San Marino. Fabio Betto (W) got another win. Alessandro Ercolani (L) took the loss.

Cariparma Parma – Danesi Nettuno 2-8

Danesi Nettuno has come back in the semi-final round robin and will return to the Italian Series, squaring off with T&A San Marino. On Saturday they beat Cariparma Parma 8-2 to secure second place in the standings. They scored four quick runs in the first two frames for an early 4-1 lead, building it up to 6-1 after four. Renato Imperiali was a perfect 5-for-5 with two runs and two RBI. Paolino Ambrosino drove in three. Rodney Medina collected three hits for Parma. Carlos Richetti (W) issued six hits, two runs and a walk in seven innings. Mihai Burlea (L) took the loss, surrendering four hits, four runs (2 ER) and two bb in 2 1/3 innings.

  1. T&A San Marino 6-3
  2. Danesi Nettuno 5-4
  3. Unipol Bologna 4-5
  4. Cariparma Parma 3-6
