T&A San Marino opened the last week of the semi-final round robin in the Italian Baseball League with a 6-2 win over Unipol Bologna. A two-run homerun by Edgar Clemente had given Fortitudo a 2-0 lead in the third, but the Titans answered with four runs in the fourth and never looked back. Wuilliuans Vasquez scored twice for T&A. Gregory Palanzo (W) and Darwin Cubilan combined to allow just four hits in six scoreless innings of relief. Yulman Ribeiro (L) took the loss for Bologna, which hadn’t Jesus Matos on the mound.

Danesi Nettuno is keeping its chance for the Italian Series alive, prevailing 4-3 in ten innings against defending champion Cariparma Parma. Ennio Retrosi had the big hit with a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the first extra inning on Wednesday. Nettuno had tied the game in the bottom of the ninth thanks to a RBI single by Vinicio Sparanga. Alex Sambucci hit a solo homerun for Parma. Rodney Medina drove in two. Fernando Gutierrez (W) got the win in relief. L. D’Amico (L) took the loss.
