LAUSANNE, SWIZTERLAND— The IBAF has confirmed the appointment of two commission chairs. Gustavo Rodriguez and Anna Maria Paini will fill the posts of Umpiring Commission chair and Scoring Commission chair respectively.
Gustavo Rodriguez is a long serving member of the international baseball world with a long history of Olympic and IBAF tournament experience.
Anna Maria Paini, the scoring director for FIBS (Italy’s governing body) and CEB scoring director also bring much experience to President Fraccari’s invigorated IBAF.
Both will face 3 possible tournaments this year, with the World Junior Baseball Championship Thunder Bay in July, followed most likely by the Women’s World Cup and Intercontinental Cup to end the year.
“Both will add great leadership to these commissions and we expect great things from them. They are charged with developing these commissions to the fullest extent possible,” stated President Fraccari on the appointments.
