Press Release Hungarian Baseball and Softball Federation

Hungarian and Croatian National Team square off for a two game series

Budapest: The Hungarian Senior National Team is following an invitation of the Croatian Baseball Federation (HBS) to play a two-day two-game series in Karlovac (Croatia) this upcoming weekend (11.-12.07.09). The first game will start on Saturday at 17.00 and the second game on Sunday 10.00.

Although being neighboring countries and having clubs playing in a Croatian-Serbian-Hungarian Interleague throughout the summer, the two federations have not faced each other on the national team level for many years.

Both teams are currently undergoing a generation change and are using these games to built young, competitive teams for the upcoming European Competitions in 2010/11.
