L&D Amsterdam was well on their way to cut the deficit in the best-of-seven Holland Series to 1-2 on Sunday, when they led 6-0 midway through the fifth and 6-4 entering the bottom of the ninth. But Curacao Neptunus scored twice in the bottom of the ninth to send the game into extra-innings. In the 12th Gianison Boekhoudt had the walk-off RBI double to secure a 7-6 victory over the Pirates. Rotterdam now needs only one more victory to claim another championship.

Boekhoudt also homered previously in the game and drove in three runs overall. Benjamin Dille had two RBI. Delano Selassa scored three runs for L&D Amsterdam. Niels van Weert drove in two. Rob Cordemans started for the Pirates and issued four hits, two runs and two walks in five innings. Tom Stuifbergen got charged with the loss. Kevin Kelly earned the win for Curacao Neptunus.
