Curacao Neptunus Rotterdam is leading the Holland Series (best of seven) 2-1 against L&D Amsterdam after this past weekend’s games two and three.
Game 2:

After a rain delay prior to the start of the game Curacao Neptunus didn’t give L&D Amsterdam a chance in game two of the Holland Series. They took a 2-0 lead in the first and scored ten combined runs in the fifth and sixth for a 12-0 blowout. Gianison Boekhoudt went deep twice and drove in four runs. Stijn van der Meer contributed two RBI. Benjamin Dille went 3-for-3. Orlando Yntema pitched seven scoreless two-hit innings for the win. Kevin Heijstek got charged with the loss.
Game 3:

On Sunday L&D Amsterdam was dominating early in the game, leading 2-0 after six innings. But when Curacao Neptunus tied the game in the seventh and took a 3-2 lead in the eighth on a RBI double by Gianison Boekhoudt it looked like Rotterdam is unbeatable in this year’s Holland Series. But the Pirates came through in the ninth and won the game with a five-run rally 7-3. Kenny Berkenbosch capped the scoring with a two-run double. Gilmer Lampe led all batters with four hits and three runs.
Game four will be played on Thursday.
