ISG Baseball for the very first time in its 34 year history partners with the Russian Baseball Federation for an historical coaches conference in Moscow, Russia.

The program spanned a 3 day period with Friday night classroom work and Saturday/Sunday turf work in a Dome complex which included all the equipment necessary to demonstrate. Over 60 Russian Coaches, some of whom flew 9 hours to attend, . were taken through a series of drills and skills. Topics varied from, organizing a fun productive practice, structuring a practice so players go through real game situations, infield play, catching position, pitching movement patterns/drills, bunting, throwing movements/drills, and so much more.

Peter Caliendo, VP of ISG Baseball and the clinic Team Leader, said: “The Russian Baseball Federation did an outstanding professional job in the organization of the event from the minute we landed in Moscow to the time we departed. The staff of the federation took care of us the whole time and the Russian coaches were so much fun to be with the whole weekend.”

Accompanying Caliendo on the clinic staff was Former College Coach Jeremy Sheetinger, a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) office staff. Sheets, as he is familiarly called, conducts the well-known Calls from the Clubhouse podcast for the ABCA and is a former college coach.
