Herve leads France to easy win against Sweden

France got their first win in the second round of the European championships with a 10-0 against Sweden.

Because of the mercy rule, the game ended after seven innings. France scored five runs in the third and lead there 8-0 already. SEBASTIAN HERVE had a single, a triple, a sac fly and a walk in four plate appearances. He scored two times and got four rbi. Center Fielder KENJI HAGIWARA brought three runners home. DAVID MEURANT, JEROME ROUSSEAU and JORIS BERT crossed the plate for two runs each.

NICOLAS DUBAUT (W 1-0) pitched the complete game. He allowed only five hits and two base on balls. He struck out four. 60 of his 96 pitches were for strikes. MATTIAS STENIS (L 0-1) was hit hard. He gave up eight runs, all earned, on seven hits and five walks in 2 1/3 innings.

France will play their final game tomorrow morning against Germany. Sweden faces Spain to complete the tournament.
