Current San Francisco Giants hitting coach Hensley Meulens, who has coached the Dutch national team during the past two World Baseball Classics and at the Premier12, is a possible candidate to become new manager of the Detroit Tigers according to The Detroit News. The American League organization is replacing Brad Ausmus at the helm this winter. The 50-year-old Meulens mentioned his desire to manager following this year’s WBC. Interviews are expected to start as soon as the season ends for the respective clubs.
