Posted on July 23, 2015July 23, 2015 by philipp

Except for a couple of make-up games the regular season in the German Baseball-Bundesliga ends this coming weekend with the 14th game day. The Mainz Athletics need to win one of its four games left against the Tubingen Hawks to claim the eighth and final playoff spot. Meanwhile the Heidenheim Heidekoepfe and the Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg clash in a mathematical battle for first place. Regensburg won games one and two of the season series 15-5 and 9-6 and leads Heidenheim by two games in the standings. Therefore the Heidekoepfe need two lopsided victories to take over first place. The quarterfinals start on August 8.
