Heidenheim Heidekoepfe add Wes Roemer, Terrell Joyce for 2016 Season

Posted on February 2, 2016February 2, 2016 by philipp

Reigning German title holder Heidenheim Heidekoepfe has added two new import players for the 2016 season in the German Baseball-Bundesliga. 29-year-old Wes Roemer and 23-year-old Terrell Joyce are joining the team.

Roemer is a right-handed pitcher from California, who was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2007. He reached Triple-A during his professional baseball career, but except for a couple of MLB Spring Training Games didn’t make it to the big leagues. The graduate of the California State University might has a shot for a German passport and wouldn’t block a foreign player spot in Heidenheim. He also will serve as pitching coach for the Heidekoepfe.

Joyce is a third baseman from Virginia, who played three seasons in the Houston Astros organization. He is also supposed to be a reliever during the European Champions Cup in Rimini/San Marino.
