Halcones de Vigo no longer playing in Division de Honor

Posted on November 12, 2012November 12, 2012 by philipp

Halcones de Vigo has withdrawn from the Spanish Division de Honor, leaving the top league in Spanish baseball most likely with just nine instead of ten teams for the 2013 season. Halcones de Vigo won just 2 of the 36 games this past season, finishing in 10th place in the final standings. CB Barcelona won the title, defeating regular season Astros Valencia in the championship series. Thanks to Spain’s participation in the 2013 World Baseball Classic, the new season in the Division de Honor will probably start in April, more than a month later as usual.
