A couple of days before the end of the regular season the Haar Disciples parted ways with starting pitcher Nick Renault this week. The right-hander was cut not due to his performance, but because of differences between him and the team according to a statement made by head coach Dirk Fries on the club website. He had a 5-2 record with an ERA of 2.40 in ten starts in the German Baseball-Bundesliga. He already didn’t play last weekend against the Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg. The Disciples have a bye this week before closing out the regular season against the Heidenheim Heidekoepfe next Saturday. They are still battling for fourth place in the southern division and a berth in the playoffs.
