Grosseto Baseball has added three more American players for the upcoming season in the Italian Baseball League. It was already know that the 26-year-old Greek national team pitcher Theon Bourdaniotis will join Panagiotis Sikaras in Tuscany. Additionally 35-year-old switch-hitting shortstop Jay Pecci and 31-year-old catcher Chris Grossman will bolster the roster for the team of manager Mike Hartley. Pecci is a veteran, who played affiliated minor league ball for the Oakland Athletics and the San Francisco Giants. The past seven seasons he played in Independent Leagues. Grossman also is a former Independent Leaguer, who was part of the St. Louis Cardinals organization in 2007.
