The German Baseball and Softball Federation (DBV) will induct a new member into the German Baseball and Softball Hall of Fame (HOF) this summer. At the 2016 Bundesliga All Star Game 2016 in Bad Homburg on July 31st, Greg Frady, the longtime National Team Head Coach, will be inducted into the German HOF as its 12th member. The induction ceremony will be led by DBV President Mirko Heid.
„Greg Frady has earned a level of respect and success throughout his eleven years with the German Senior National Team Program that is second to none. He led our national team in a professional manner and with utmost integrity towards the Nation of Germany and our Federation. He is one of the main reasons that German Baseball has achieved unparalleled success and received international recognition and respect over the last decade. As was evident from the beginning, German Baseball was a matter close to his heart. His passion, his character and his success will be recognized and remembered by his HOF induction“, said DBV president Mirko Heid.
“I am truly honored to be inducted into the DBV Hall of Fame. The 11 years spent with German baseball was extremely rewarding for me and my family. I would like to thank all the great players, coaches, staff, administrators and fans to who helped with the success of the Senior Team. When a person is honored publicly with a HOF induction, it is truly a reflection of all the great people involved. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to serve Team Deutschland for such a long period of time and humbled that our work will be remembered.”, said Greg Frady, who served as German National Team Manager from 2004 until 2014, but who will „forever carry Deutschland Baseball in my heart.“
The 2016 Bundesliga All Star Game will take place July 31st in Bad Homburg, Germany. The German National Team will face the Baseball-Bundesliga All-Stars.
