A three-run homerun by Tonny Granadillo in the eighth inning decided the outcome in an 8-4 victory by ARAGUA against the ORKAS. It was the sixth straight win by the fourth-ranked team in the league. The European squad rallied from four down to tie the contest in the top of the seventh, but reliever Yorby Marcano gave up the decisive shot. Fidel Velasquez (L 0-2), who was responsible for the lead runner, took the loss. Jangervis Solarte had four hits and two RBIs for the TIGRES.
David Rivas had two hits and two RBIs for the ORKAS. Leadoff hitter Gerson Manzanillo went three for five with two runs scored. Emilio Linarez and Bryon Bell each drove in a run. Gabriel Montero and Sytse Visbsen scored once.
Yeremy Ishak got the start for the ALB, but struggled from the beginning. He gave up five runs on six hits and a walk in 1 2/3 innings. His ERA rose to 20.77 for the season. Gustavo Suecum and Jesus Perez relieved Ishak and were able to stop the bleeding. However in the end the comeback try ended in another loss.
NEW YORK YANKEES top prospect catcher Jesus Montero made an appearance late in the game, as a defensive replacement.
