The 5-1 FORTITUDO opens the third week of the Italian Baseball League on the road against DE ANGELIS. Jesus Matos (BOL) regained his form of recent years and struck out eleven PARMA batters in his first victory of the season. He will probably face Matteo Galeotti tonight, who had some control issues last Friday. Fabio Betto and Cody Cillo will follow Matos on the mound in game two and three of the series. Lino Luciani and Ryan Baerlocher are expected to start for GODO.
On Friday the other six teams of the IBL resume their schedule. The undefeated GROSSETO meets with T&A SAN MARINO this weekend. NETTUNO hopes to stop their losing streak against RIMINI. CARIPARMA takes on the RANGERS to close the gap to the top four.
