Giovanni Pantaleoni suffers Knee Injury

Posted on February 6, 2012February 6, 2012 by philipp

T&A San Marino might need to find another infielder for the upcoming season in the Italian Baseball League. Giovanni Pantaleoni apparently suffered a knee injury during a snowboard accident according to a report by Grandeslam.net. The next two weeks will decide if the 34-year-old needs surgery, which probably would mean that he misses significant portions of 2012. He batted .273/.339/.398 with four homeruns, eight doubles, 26 runs and 24 RBI in 41 games last year, helping the Titans to win the championship and the European Champions Cup.
