Gift Ngoepe traded from Pittsburgh Pirates to Toronto Blue Jays

Posted on November 22, 2017November 22, 2017 by philipp

MLB organizations had to do some cleaning up with their rosters these past days, as they had to set their 40-man rosters in preparations for the upcoming rule 5 draft, which will be held at the end of the Winter Meetings in December in Orlando. The Pittsburgh Pirates traded South African infielder Gift Ngoepe to the Toronto Blue Jays for a player to be named later. The 27-year-old became the first Africa-born player to reach the big leagues this summer.
