For the first time in the history Germany has won the Coed Slowpitch European Championship. They defeated heavy favorite Great Britain 20-9 in the final game on Saturday in Sofia, Bulgaria. Germany had to go the hard way to the final, defeating Ireland and Slovenia in the page playoffs en route to the final, while Great Britain downed Slovenia to qualify as first team. Great Britain was 11-0 prior to the final, but Germany bested them with an offensive outpour and solid defense to keep the British to single digits.
