One day after celebrating a 10-2 win over Belgium in Heidenheim, Germany also prevailed against the same opponent on Sunday in Ulm, winning by a score of 11-2. And as on Saturday the team of head coach Greg Frady blew a close game wide open in the last three frames, thanks to three-run rallies in the seventh and ninth.
Former minor leaguer Ludwig Glaser went 3-for-4 playing first base for Germany to lead the pack. Dominik Hartinger, Martin Dewald, Tim Henkenjohann, Max Boldt and Philipp Hoffschild pitched for the host of the European Championship. Frady is going to announce the final roster on Monday.
While Belgium is going to play another exhibition game on Wednesday in Tuebingen against Great Britain, Germany’s players get a few days off before going to Stuttgart for the last work-outs before the opener against the Ukraine.
