The German Baseball Academy (DBA) announced on Friday that they have to cancel the inaugural edition of the DBA German Junior Academies Championship Showcase. The four-team tournament with the Academies from Regensburg, Mainz and Paderborn as well as a DBA All Star selection was scheduled for July 4 to 7, 2013. However due to the earlier as planned European Junior Championship in Prague, Czech Republic (starts on July 14) they have to move the first showcase to 2014. Several scouts already had confirmed to attend the tourney, but the organizers had no choice. The junior national team needs time to prepare for the European Championship.
