German Baseball-Bundesliga opening 2019 Season this weekend

Posted on March 29, 2019 by philipp

The German Baseball-Bundesliga is opening the 2019 season this coming weekend. The classic matchup between the Mainz Athletics and Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg will kick off the new year in German Baseball.

With U23 and Senior European Championships this August and September, it will be a short and compact season. The regular season will be played through the middle of June. The champion will be crowned on August 17 at the latest.

The Bonn Capitals are the defending champion, while the Wesseling Vermins are the lone promoted club in the 16-team lineup. The top four of each division will advance to the quarterfinals, which will start on the last weekend in June.

Easyscore will be the new e-scoring partner of the German Baseball-Bundesliga replacing GameChanger. A games will be available through live play by play through www.baseball-bundesliga.de or www.easyscore.com/live. Live streams on opening weekend will be provided from Dohren and Hamburg – both firsts.
