On a rare Thursday evening game day in the German Baseball-Bundesliga the Munich-Haar Disciples beat the Heidenheim Heidekoepfe 10-6. The Disciples took a quick 10-0 lead after four innings thanks to big hits by Richard Klijn (3-Run-Home-Run) and Christoph Ziegler (2-Run-Triple). For Heidenheim it was the first loss in 13 games in the 2017 season. The Heidekoepfe tried to rally and got on the board with a five-run fifth. But due to the big deficit in the beginning it was too little too late. Game two will be played on Saturday at 6pm CET in Heidenheim. Tim Collins will broadcast live via www.sportdeutschland.tv/baseball respective www.meinsportradio.de.
