While two games are still left on the schedule, Gefle and Alby are going to finish the Swedish Kvalserien in first and second, which secures them a spot in next year’s Elitserien, the top division in Swedish Baseball. Gefle already played in the Elitserien this season, but had to defend its spot after finishing the first phase of the regular season with a 3-11 record in seventh place. Alby returns to the first division after two years absence. The Eskilstuna Hammers get relegated after an eighth-ranked 1-13 record in the regular season and just four wins in eight Kvalserien games so far.
