Gaspard Fessy returns to Spain, joins CB Sant Boi

Posted on January 4, 2010 by philipp

Jose Estebin Cruz returns for another Season with Sant Boi

Outfielder Gaspard Fessy returns to the Spanish Division de Honor. CB Sant Boi announced the signing of the 26-year-old on its website on Sunday. He had left the FC Barcelona in March 2008 to join the Templiers Senart in France and then moved to Stade Toulousain last spring after the European Cup in Matino. Now the member of the French National Team is back in Catalonia.

Fessy is the third new player for Sant Boi besides Jose Luis Salazar and Daniel Martinez, which came from the Tenerife Marlins. The club also extended the contracts for shortstop Eduardo Rivas (listed as Rafael Rivas in Division de Honor stats) and outfielder/pitcher Jose Estebin Cruz, who didn’t go to Colombia after all. There were rumors a few weeks back that the two key players would not come back for the 2010 season.
