Utility man Vicente Francisco Carlos BELLIZZI joins Cariparma for the 2008 season. The 33-year-old Venezuelan with Italian passport has spent three years in the Italian Baseball League. He signed with Modena in 2003, stayed there for two seasons and moved to Rimini in 2005. He left the club due to family reasons and is now coming back. He has a combined batting average of .294 (OBP .399/SLG .457) with six homeruns, 62 runs scored and 53 RBI in 390 plate appearances in the Serie A1.
