The French Finals started with a pair of wins for the Templiers Senart this weekend. They prevailed 6-4 and 7-1 over Paris UC on Saturday and Sunday and need just one more win to claim the title in French Baseball.
On Saturday three runs in the bottom of the fourth broke a 1-1 tie and gave Senart a 4-1 lead en route to a 6-4 win. PUC tried to rally in the ninth, but only managed to cut the deficit to two runs. Ciro Silvino struck out nine in eight-plus innings for the win. Larry Infante had two RBI for Paris.
In game two one day later Mathieu Brelle-Andrade pitched a complete game two-hitter in a 7-1 Templiers win. They took the lead in the third and never looked back. Nicolas Dubaut got charged with the loss.
Games three and four will be played this coming weekend in Paris.
