French Finals begin in Savigny this Weekend

As one of the last leagues in Europe, the French Elite League will kick of its best-of-five championship series with games one and two this weekend. The Savigny Lions and the Rouen Huskies will take on each other in the finals. Savigny won the regular season title with 20 wins in 24 games, including three out of four against Rouen.

However the Huskies took first place and clinched home field advantage in the round-robin playoffs, winning all seven games they played, three of them against the Lions. The Huskies won all three series with a combined record of 9-2.
