French Federation releases provisional Schedule for 2012

The French Baseball and Softball Federation announced a provisional schedule for the 2012 season in the Division 1. As you see the name of the league also was changed (previously: “Elite”). The new year in French Baseball starts on March 18 with a matchup between last year’s finalists Rouen Huskies and Montpellier Barracudas. The regular season consists of 14 game days with nine-inning doubleheaders and ends on July 8. The top six teams reach the playoffs with the top two having a bye in round one. The quarterfinals start on July 21. The Beaucaire Chevaliers are being promoted, replacing the Montigny Cougars.
