French Division I: Montpellier, Montigny join Rouen and Senart in Semifinals

After a month-long break due to the U23 European Championship and the Universiade 2017 the French Division I resumed play this weekend with the best-of-three quarterfinals. The Montpellier Barracudas downed the Savigny Lions 17-7 and 9-5 to sweep their series 2-0. They now will face the Templiers Senart in the semifinals. In the second semifinal the Rouen Huskies will take on the Montigny Cougars. The Cougars prevailed 2-1 over Paris UC in their quarterfinal. Montigny won game one 6-5. In game two PUC tied the series with a 3-1 victory. In the decisive third match the Cougars dominated with a 15-5 blowout.
