French Division I Baseball: Week 5

Posted on May 14, 2022June 15, 2022 by Gabriel Fidler

With a full spate of games after a ‘reserve week’ of postponed contests, French baseball got back into the swing of things with easy two-game sweeps for division leaders Rouen Huskies and Montpellier Barracudas, but it was a pair of contending teams that shook up the standings. La Rochelle, tied for second-place in Pool B, gave undefeated Sénart everything it could handle in a 3-1 loss in Game 1 before blasting the 2021 runners-up 10-2 in the nightcap. Meanwhile, Savigny’s Lions travelled to Montigny, where they surprised the Cougars with a 1-0 victory in the opener and nearly pulled off the sweep in Game 2.
