After a new manager with Daniele Frignani, Fortitudo Bologna now also has announced its first signing for the 2016 season. The 19-year-old right-handed pitcher Matteo Bocchi is joining the team. He probably won’t be available for the entire season, as he is attending a college in Odessa, Texas since this year. He is coming from Crocetta, where he has played four seasons in the Serie A of the Federal Championship. He also had been a member of various Italian national team, including the European Champions U15 and U18 in 2011 and 2013. He also participated in two Baseball World Cups at U21 and U18 age levels.
