Finkstonball Returns After Two-Year Hiatus, Seven Countries Represented

Posted on June 3, 2022June 23, 2022 by MrBB

Finkstonball baseball and softball tournament will return after a two-year, pandemic-related hiatus, with 14 teams competing from June 3-6 in Attnang-Puchheim, Upper Austria.

In addition to the host Athletics, the eight-team baseball field includes Germany’s Stuttgart Reds, Switzerland’s Sissach Frogs, Croatia’s BK Vindija, and Hungary’s Budapest Red Wolves. The three additional squads include The North Baseball, a team of collegiate Canadians; the X-Presidents Baseball Club, which is composed of Swiss-based players from the U.S.; and a team of Baseball Jobs Overseas (BBJO) members.

Open-air music concerts and a wide range of food and entertainment options round out the Finkstonball program, with organizers expecting 2,500 visitors over the four-day event.
