Baseball Jobs Overseas Wins Finkstonball in 1-0 Final vs. Host Athletics

Posted on June 12, 2022June 23, 2022 by Gabriel Fidler

Returning after two years of coronavirus complications [link], Finkstonball pits a mixture of European clubs from various national leagues at the amateur and semi-professional levels with a teams organised around nationality or as all-stars. This year saw only one debutante, Baseball Jobs Overseas (BBJO), which has for years funnelled players with U.S. professional or university experience to European clubs. BBJO breezed its way through Group B play, as did the host club, the ASAK Athletics Attnang-Puchheim, each scoring 34 runs in three games. After advancing through the semi-finals, the two matched up for an instant classic, BBJO pulling out a 1-0 victory to claim its inaugural Finkstonball trophy.
