Feldkirch Cardinals extend roster for Baseball League Austria

The Feldkirch Cardinals are part of the new formed Baseball League Austria (BLA) and find themselves in its Division West together with Dornbirn, Hard, Kufstein and Attnang.

Danny Hall Jr. will lead the team through this new shaped league together with Joseph Kirby. Hall Jr. is well known in Austria as he has played and coached the Dornbirn Indians in Austria`s first division through 2010-2015.

Rob Shaw will be again there help for offensive stuff in 2017. The 28-year old led last years league in homeruns and collected the crown for the best batter. Over the winter he was playing winterball in Australia`s State League for the Ballarat City Brewers.

With Robertas Vilimas the Cardinals extend also there pitchers pool for the upcoming season. The 21-year old native Lithuanian raised with his home team Sporto Vilkai. Robertas is also a longstanding part of the Lithuanian National Team which end up on 3rd place in last years U21 European Championship in Israel. Furthermore he was invited to MLB Academies in earlier years.

Rob and Robertas will join the team directly beginning of April at the spring training facility in Benameji (Spain) where the Cardinals are heading this year to get there preparation going including a tournament with localized teams.
