CBS Sant Boi and Kaunas Lituanica will square off in the final of the Federations Cup Qualifier in Stockholm, Sweden on Saturday. Sant Boi remained undefeated with an easy 16-1 win in five innings over the London Mets. Kaunas prevailed in the tie-breaker after the Stockholm Monarchs prevailed 4-3 over UKS Deby Osielsko.
Sant Boi now can go back to back in winning Federations Cup Qualifiers after also winning in 2016. Reigning Spanish champion Astros Valencia took advantage and is currently competing in the Federations Cup. With a Sant Boi win the Spanish Federation would receive a second spot in the Federations Cup, unless the Astros win the tournament and claim a CEB Cup berth.
