The standings were completely upended in Trnava, Slovakia, on Day 3 of the Federation Cup. Norway’s Vålerenga continued to impress, shutting out the Sofia Blues, which came in with a victory in its only game. Lars Liguori was nearly perfect in the game, no-hitting the Bulgarian baseball club with 14 strikeouts—only a defensive error preventing a perfect game. The hosts, meanwhile, posted a pair of victories thanks to a postponed game, moving from joint-bottom to second. British baseball’s Herts Toucans and Poland’s Stal Kutno also took a loss apiece.
The other Federation Cup pool, hosted by Kaunas, Lithuania, began today as well. You can find out what happened on Day 1 [link].
