FC Barcelona hosts Tenerife Marlins in Division de Honor

Posted on May 21, 2010 by philipp

Who is going to prevail? Barca or Tenerife?

Another showdown in the Spanish Division de Honor will take place on Saturday as the Tenerife Marlins travel to Montjuic to take on the FC Barcelona. For both teams a split could mean that they lose further ground towards leader CB Sant Boi. In March Barca stunned the reigning champion in Tenerife with 8-2 and 15-6 wins. Delio Miguel Martinez and Pedro Pablo Belmonte are expected on the mound for Barcelona. Leslie Nacar and Ivan Granados will start for Puerto Cruz.

Both teams have question marks surrounding its lineup. Barcelona had to reactivate Jorge Miqueleiz last weekend for the twin bill in Pamplona due to an injury of Jason Friedman. The Marlins played their two-game set against CB Viladecans without Venezuelan slugger Luis Landaeta. No word of both players will be back this week.
