After losing twice to EL LLANO two weeks ago, CB SANT BOI got back into the victory lane. They won both games in PAMPLONA easily and solidified third place in the standings. In the first match, Milko Jaramillo went three-for-four with two doubles and five RBI to lead SANT BOI to an 11-1 win. Jose Luis Riera had four hits and two RBI. Ricardo Perez scored three times. Fernando Quijada (W 3-0) went six innings for the win, allowing five hits, one run and a walk. Patrice Briones (L 1-4) gave up ten hits, six runs (5 ER) and two base on balls in 5 2/3 Innings.
In the second part of the doubleheader Yoel Hernandez (6-2) had some control issues, but was nearly unhittable. He was charged with just one hit, one run and seven bb in seven innings. He struck out four and induced 14 groundouts. Riera drove in two. Rafael Rivas and Jose Cruz each had three hits. Marco Gonzalez went four-for-five with two doubles. Aingeru Sanz had three RBIs for PAMPLONA. Alberto Casanellas (L 4-8) was charged with eleven hits, six runs and two walks in six innings.

The FC BARCELONA, which is two games behind the MARLINS in the standings with a open date against the 2007 champion left, stays right behind them after winning both ends of the twin bill versus BASEBALL NAVARRA.
In the first match, BARCA used a seven-run sixth to beat NAVARRA 10-0. Jorge Miqueleiz excelled at the plate with a double, a triple and four RBI. Oscar Roman scored three times. Felix Isasi and Albert Diaz each drove in two. Homer Baez (W 10-1) pitched the complete seven innings for his tenth victory. He allowed five hits and four walks, while striking out six. Juan Jose Lopez (L 2-3) gave up five hits, six runs and two bb in 5 1/3 innings.
The final score in the second game was much closer, though BARCELONA was in not in danger to lose this one. They took the lead in bottom of the second and extended their advantage to 6-1 in the fifth. Emmanuel Febles went three-for-four with three RBIs. Pau Sancho scored twice. Jorge Balboa (W 7-1) was responsible for three hits, two runs and six walks in eight innings. Alberto Espanol (L 4-5) gave up nine hits, six runs (4 ER) and one bb in 4 1/3 innings.

The MARLINS returned home to Tenerife victorious, but the doubleheader in VILADECANS was much tougher for the leader than they might have expected before.
In the first match they needed three runs in the top of the ninth to break a 1-1 tie. Victor Lopez drove in the go-ahead run with a RBI single. He and Nestor Perez later scored on an error by shortstop Juan Alberto Fernandez. Renny Duarte (W 4-1) went the distance, allowing one unearned run on seven hits, while striking out eight. Pol Llopis (L 0-6) matched him for the first eight frames, but lost the duel in the ninth. He gave up seven hits, four runs (2 ER) and four bb in nine innings.
In the second game they needed a RBI single by Dewis Navarro in the top of the 13th to decide another nail biter by a score of 2-1. VILADECANS had tied the contest in the bottom of the ninth to force extra inning, when pinch runner Pol Llopis scored on an error by second baseman Daniel Sanchez. Ivan Granados (MPC) and Alberto Magallon (VIL) started. Granados allowed nine hits, one unearned runs and three walks in nine innings. Magallon gave up ten hits, one unearned run and a bb in eight innings. Audie Nunez (W 1-0) picked up the win, Juan Fernandez (L 0-1) took the loss.
