42-year-old Evert-Jan ’t Hoen is going to be the new manager of the Dutch National Team. He is succeeding Steve Janssen, who switched to Major League Baseball this past winter to work as pitching coach in the Chicago Cubs organization. ‘t Hoen – a former minor leaguer with the Los Angeles Angels – managed Neptunus in the Dutch Hoofdklasse between 2013 and 2016, winning the championship each year. In 2017 he already was on the national team staff as an assistant coach. Robin van Doornspeek will serve as pitching coach on his staff.
