No movement up or down this week as the rosters are now relatively settled throughout the systems.

Martin Cervenka from the Czech Republic hit his first professional home run last Wednesday for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, while Dutchman Lars Huijer is making a strong case for promotion in Everett with another strong start, this time going seven innings and giving up one hit. Italian Alex Liddi had a 10-hit week in Triple-A as he looks for a chance with his new team, the Baltimore Orioles, as they threaten to make the postseason again this year. German Max Kepler and the Netherlands’ Daniel Arribas also had big weeks at the plate, while Ibrahin Redan (also Netherlands) gets outs without walks or runs nearly every time he gets the ball.

Gronauer remains on the Disabled List, having not played since July 2nd. He’s hitting .258 over 14 games for the year.

Gave up 2 runs, 1 earned, in 2.1 IP over two outings this week with 3 walks and two strikeouts. 0-7 with a 3.65 ERA and 7 saves for the year. 38 G, 49.1 IP, 44 H, 21 R, 22 BB, 27 K.

Had one seven inning start, getting the win while allowing only one hit and striking out seven. He’s 6-1 on the year with a 1.85 ERA through 43.2 innings. 25 H, 13 BB, 38 K.

Federico Castagnini, Baltimore Orioles. Italy.
Current team: Aberdeen IronBirds (short-season A)
The Italian shortstop (via Creighton University) made his professional debut July 15th. In seven games he has 3 hits in 22 ABs, scored 2 runs and stole a base.
