The European Championship C-Pool in Ljubljana, Slovenia started on Monday with day one. In the early afternoon game Finland routed Serbia to enter the winning lane. The second contest between Slovenia and Norway got suspended at the beginning of the ninth inning due to darkness with Norway leading Slovenia 13-10 in a slugfest.

Finland defeated Serbia 14-4 in seven innings in the first game of the Euros in Ljubljana. Finland broke a 3-3 tie with a three-run rally in the sixth. Eight runs in the seventh closed out the game with ten-run rule. Sergio Fernandez drove in three runs. Timo Muro, Ville-Herman Saarman and Jussi Saaristo collected two RBI apiece. Muro and Saarman also combined to throw the seven innings on the mound. Strahinja Stajic got charged with the loss.
