The 2016 European Champions Cup takes place from May 31 to June 4 in Rimini, Italy and San Marino. Eight club teams from Italy, San Marino, Netherlands, Germany and Czech Republic compete for the trophy with Curacao Neptunus Rotterdam (NED) being the defending champion.
The eight teams are slotted into two pools in the first round, which will played in a round-robin format from Tuesday to Thursday. Group A consists of Curacao Neptunus Rotterdam (NED), Fortitudo Bologna (ITA), T&A San Marino (SMA) and the VOITH Heidenheim Heideköpfe (GER), Group B of ASD Rimini (ITA), L&D Amsterdam (NED), Kotlarka Prague (CZE) and the Buchbinder Legionäre Regensburg (GER).
The top two teams from each pool advance to the semifinals on Friday. The final of the European Champions Cup is scheduled for Saturday evening at 8.30pm in Rimini. Live play by play, box scores and statistics will be published through www.baseballstats.eu.
