Unipol Bologna claimed the title at the European Champions Cup 2019 in Bologna, Italy. They shut out L&D Amsterdam 8-0 in the final on Saturday evening. Raoul Rivero struck out 14 in 7 2/3 innings, allowing only four hits and a walk to lead their way.
Curacao Neptunus finished in third place after a 9-0 forfeit against Parmaclima. The game was forfeited in the sixth inning with Rotterdam leading 7-0 after an injury to Parma’s pitcher Owen Ozanich on a comebacker. In the relegation game Arrows Ostrava downed the Deurne Spartans 13-3 to keep the Czech Republic in the Champions Cup.
