After the big success of the inaugural edition the European Big League Tour, organized by Dutch pitcher Rick van den Hurk and his father, will return this November. It all starts with a benefit dinner in Amsterdam on November 4. Afterwards about ten Major Leaguers will hold clinics on November 5 in Utrecht and November 6 in Amsterdam. Then the delegation will travel to the Czech Republic (November 9 in Prague) and Italy (November 12 in Parma and Rome).
The event is supported by Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association. The first Big League Tour went through stops in Eindhoven, Haarlem, Rotterdam and Antwerp last November. Rick van den Hurk brought Roger Bernadina, Gregor Halman, Adam Jones, Jeremy Guthrie, Brady Anderson and John Baker to Europe. All four venues were packed with enthusiastic kids, interested in Baseball.
